We all know the feeling that there are not enough hours in the day.
Someone said to us not long ago, “I don’t want to ask my clients for feedback. I already have too many clients, I can barely service them all, I don’t have the bandwidth to deal with what they tell me.”
This is like not repairing your roof because it’s sunny. You really don’t want to wait until it’s raining to try to put things right. Imagine the effect on you and on your business if you lost your biggest client. Imagine how you would feel if you lost them because of something you could have addressed if you had known!
It’s easy to believe that you know your client and feel confident that they are happy with your service. But when we gave feedback to a customer of ours on a client they had been working closely with for almost 20 years, they were staggered and said “We would never have found that out in a million years.”
So perhaps, even if you’re busy, you should think about getting client feedback with your most important clients. After all – what have you got to lose?
