Jamie Ripman is a Director of Practive, a consultancy specialising in the practice of leadership.
His expertise lies in helping people to learn through experience, both at individual and group level. He is particularly interested in helping people to develop how they communicate with others and to understand the impact they have.
At the heart of both his coaching work and his work with groups is the philosophy that leadership happens ‘one conversation at a time’. He specialises in helping his clients to develop their personal impact and influence and to develop their ability and confidence to have effective and productive conversations, sometimes in challenging circumstances. This focus on Courageous Conversations includes specific work on the skills of listening, empathy, persuasion, assertion, holding to account and on giving and receiving feedback.
His client list includes: PricewaterhouseCoopers, Thomson Reuters, BAA, Arup, Lazard, Egon Zehnder, Simmons & Simmons, Cambridge Assessment, East of England SHA, East Midlands DoH, Yorkshire and Humberside SHA, Colchester Hospitals NHS Trust, West Herts Hospital Trust, Crime Reduction Initiative and the Kings Fund.
Jamie is a faculty member at the NHS Leadership Academy.
